RULES OF PLAY

The USGA Rules of Golf will govern play. All disputes regarding any aspect of tournament play will be reviewed by the Tournament Committee. All rules decisions are final.

We will be playing a scramble format this year.  A scramble format means that both team members tee off on each hole and then decide which tee shot they like the best and mark the spot with a tee or ball marker. The other player picks up his/her ball and places it within one club length (no closer to the hole) of the marked spot. Both players hit their shot from the chosen spot.  This procedure is followed on every shot for the remainder of the hole, including putts. The ball should be marked on the putting green also.

If the ball you choose to play is in a hazard (sand, water, etc.), or the rough, you cannot drop the ball outside of the hazard or rough even if relief is within one club length away.

Men start from the white tees.

Women will always tee off from the red tees.

Each team member must use at least three tee shots per nine holes. Make a note on the scorecard to indicate whose tee shot was used on each hole.

Drives
You must use 3 drives from each player per side. One must be on a par 3.

Hole-In-One Specials
We will have 4 holes with special prizes for a hole in one.

* Mulligans cannot be used for the hole-in-one attempt.  If after your first shot you want to use the mulligan to compete for the KP, that is allowable.

Spoiler Hole (#9)
Each player is given a “special” spoiler ball with your name on it at the start of the tournament.  The object is to play with the special ball for the entire hole and keep it to turn in at the end of your round.  Any player who is unable to return their spoiler ball receives an automatic 2-stroke penalty.

Long Drive Hole:
There is one long drive holes (#7).  Your ball must be in the fairway to qualify.  You may use a mulligan if you have one available (requires purchase – see below).   Women should tee off from the red tees, men from the whites.

Closest to the Pin Holes: (4, 6, 11, 13)
Standard rules apply.  For those that don't get that.  Your ball has to be close to the hole.  Only one KP will be awarded.  You may use a mulligan if you have one available (requires purchase – see below).

Mulligans
Mulligans can be purchased the morning before the round for $5.00 each.  You can purchase up to 2 mulligans per 9 holes.  Mulligans that are not used on the first nine holes played cannot be carried over to the second 9 holes.  If you use a mulligan on a hole you must rip up your mulligan ticket.  If you don’t use any of your mulligans, don’t fret.  We will have a drawing at the end of the tournament from all of the remaining mulligan tickets.

Scoring
Two scoring system will be used dependant on the division your playing in.  Callaway Scoring will be used for those teams without an established handicap.  For the Net Division we will be using 25% of your combined team handicap to determine your teams Net score.
